Roles and responsibilities
- Networks, supports recruiting, hiring, developing and retaining high-quality management and associates to fill store profiles and succession planning.
- Leads by example, trains, develops, and provides ongoing feedback and coaching on product knowledge, selling skills, visual merchandising and delivering the customer experience.
- Organizes weekly staff meetings and daily briefings to recap store performance, and to communicate new company goals and strategies, as well as new store procedures and performance targets
Customer Experience/ Sales
- Ensures an excellent level of customer service is a priority at all times by executing and achieving the Customer Experience consistently through regular assessment, coaching, and follow-up with the team .
- Maintains visibility and leads by example on the selling floor to answer customer questions and support all selling functions.
- Implements all visual merchandising standards, directives, promotions, and overall cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.
Drive Sales & Profitability
- Meets or exceeds profitability expectations for the store in sales, payroll, shrink, and conversion.
- Creates and executes strategies to maximize store sales and control expenses.
Operational Effectiveness
- Controls company assets by meeting all loss prevention measures (consistent management of inventory, in- and out-bound stock movements, sales, returns, exchange, store maintenance, etc).
- Executes and complies with all company policies and store procedures.
Required Skills
Required Skills to be successful
- Extensive experience in Sales, Marketing and Operations and working in the retail/ brand management industry specifically in Fashion.
- Sound in-depth knowledge of the market, brand positioning and trends.
- An understanding of the current economic situation and impacts of potential threats and competitors.

Education : High school education or equivalent preferred
Minimum Experience:
Minimum two years of Store Manager experience with a proven track record for driving sales and profit results and training and developing a team of individuals .
Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:
- Good command of business English (written and verbal)
- Good computer skills (Outlook, Excel & SAP) and detailed report analysis skills
- Strong level of numeracy & literacy

- Implementing strategies to enhance the in-store experience, such as visual merchandising, store layout, and customer engagement techniques.
- Promoting loyalty programs or special offers to encourage repeat business and increase customer retention.
4. Inventory and Stock Management:
- Overseeing inventory control, ensuring that stock levels are sufficient to meet customer demand without overstocking.
- Monitoring stock turnover, conducting regular stock takes, and working with suppliers to replenish stock in a timely manner.
- Ensuring stockroom organization and proper handling of merchandise to prevent damage or loss.
- Managing product displays and merchandising to maximize sales and improve the store’s visual appeal.
5. Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation:
- Ensuring that the store is consistently clean, well-organized, and visually appealing.
- Implementing visual merchandising guidelines and arranging products according to the latest promotions, seasonal trends, or store layout.
- Overseeing the display of new arrivals and promotions to catch the attention of customers and encourage impulse purchases.
6. Financial Management:
- Managing the store's budget, including tracking expenses, controlling labor costs, and monitoring overhead costs.
- Ensuring proper cash handling, including daily cash reconciliation, managing the cash register, and preparing bank deposits.
- Preparing and reviewing financial reports, sales forecasts, and budgetary goals to ensure the store meets its financial targets.
- Analyzing profit and loss statements and adjusting store operations accordingly to improve profitability.
7. Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensuring the store complies with health and safety regulations, including proper employee training on safety procedures and maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment.
- Conducting regular safety audits and taking corrective actions when needed.
- Ensuring that all employees follow company policies on product handling, storage, and sanitation.
8. Administrative Duties:
- Managing administrative tasks such as employee records, performance reviews, scheduling, and other HR-related responsibilities.
- Completing weekly or monthly reports on sales performance, inventory levels, customer feedback, and staff performance.
- Communicating with senior management and corporate teams to report on the store’s performance, challenges, and opportunities.
9. Marketing and Promotions:
- Executing marketing strategies and promotional campaigns, such as seasonal sales, discounts, or new product launches, to drive foot traffic and increase sales.
- Collaborating with marketing teams to design and display advertisements and social media posts that align with store promotions.
- Organizing local events or customer engagement activities to increase brand awareness and build community loyalty.
