Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards on construction sites.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to reduce hazards and incidents.
- Enforce adherence to safety protocols regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct safety training sessions for onsite personnel including site workers subcontractors and visitors.
- Promote and educate the workforce about health safety and environmental best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and corrective actions taken.
- Oversee environmental compliance on construction sites ensuring waste management pollution control and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Continuously monitor construction sites to identify potential hazards unsafe work practices and noncompliance issues.
- Inspect equipment and machinery to ensure they are in safe working condition and regularly maintained.
- Maintain records of safety inspections training certifications and compliance activities.
- Provide ongoing safety advice and recommendations to site management and workers.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science Engineering or related field (preferred).
- 5 years of UAE experience in HSE
- Certification in HSE management (e.g. NEBOSH OSHA or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards local safety regulations and environmental laws.
- Excellent knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Strong communication training and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct site inspections and risk assessments in a timely and efficient manner.
