Roles and responsibilities
- Input into the delivery of core Asset Advisory services and commissions such as operational cost estimates, life cycle cost analysis, operational design reviews, maintenance specifications, carbon cost analysis, and asset condition assessment.
- Supporting the ESG Advisory business line from an asset perspective, undertaking embodied carbon and whole life carbon assessments.
- Involvement in marketing and business development, including client presentations and general promotion and awareness-raising activities.
- Working on the development of the service offering including conducting marketing activities targeting both internal and external clients, and product development.
- Carrying out technical research and data collection activities, facilitating data management for reporting purposes and applying analytical skills to enhance core service deliverables.
- Interviewing client employees, management team and other stakeholders.
- Preparing and facilitating workshops.
- Conducting problem solving and strategic thinking to add value to core service deliverables.
- Preparing and presenting recommendation papers, reports, process, procedure and system manuals.
- Formulating and implementing recommendations/solutions.
- Technical report writing in accordance with international standards.
- Ensuring the client receives the assistance needed to implement the recommendations / solutions.
Qualifications
The candidate should hold a Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited University in a relevant discipline such as Construction Economics + Management, Planning + Development, Strategy, Asset Management, Real Estate Investment + Finance, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, Real Estate Management or Facilities Management.
Post graduate qualifications, membership of relevant professional bodies (such as RICS, IAM and CIoB) and Middle East experience is preferred, but not mandatory. The candidate may be looking to obtain membership of a professional body and develop/broaden their experience to do so, for which support will be available.
Must have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience looking to develop their experience in a range Advisory Services as part of a growing team.

1. Property and Land Valuation
- Valuations: Providing accurate valuations of land, buildings, and commercial properties for a range of purposes, including sales, purchases, leasing, investment analysis, and taxation.
- Market Analysis: Conducting market research and analysis to determine trends in property values, rental income, and demand in specific regions or sectors.
- Investment Advice: Offering advice on potential real estate investments, helping clients assess market conditions, return on investment (ROI), and financial feasibility of projects.
2. Development and Planning Advice
- Feasibility Studies: Advising on the viability of proposed development projects, considering factors such as land use, zoning, regulatory compliance, and financial viability.
- Development Strategies: Helping clients design and implement effective strategies for land acquisition, site development, and property portfolio management.
- Risk Assessment: Assessing risks related to property development, market conditions, and regulatory changes, and advising clients on how to mitigate those risks.
3. Negotiation and Dispute Resolution
- Mediation: Acting as a mediator in property or land disputes, facilitating communication between parties, and providing professional opinions to help resolve conflicts.
- Lease Negotiation: Advising clients on lease terms, negotiating rent, and providing guidance on commercial lease agreements for tenants and landlords.
- Compulsory Purchase: Advising clients on legal and financial implications of compulsory purchase orders (CPOs), helping with valuations and compensation claims when land or property is taken by public authorities.
4. Property Management and Advisory
- Portfolio Management: Offering advice on managing property portfolios, including maximizing returns, minimizing risks, and ensuring properties are effectively utilized.
- Asset Management: Helping clients optimize the performance of their real estate assets through strategic management, refurbishment, and re-letting strategies.
- Sustainability: Providing guidance on sustainable property development, energy efficiency, and compliance with environmental regulations.
5. Regulatory and Compliance Advice
- Planning and Zoning: Advising clients on planning laws, zoning regulations, and any required permits or licenses for development, ensuring projects comply with local or national regulations.
- Building Codes and Standards: Offering expertise on building regulations, codes, and standards related to construction, renovation, or conversion projects.
- Environmental Regulations: Providing advice on environmental laws, sustainability practices, and compliance with conservation or land use regulations.
6. Strategic Consultancy
- Market Entry: Offering advice to companies looking to enter new property markets, advising on the best locations for expansion and the potential risks involved.
- Acquisitions and Disposals: Assisting with the acquisition and disposal of land and property assets, ensuring clients make informed decisions based on market conditions and investment goals.
- Development Finance: Providing guidance on financing options for property developments, including funding sources, loan structuring, and risk management in financing deals.
