Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the network infrastructure including setup configuration and maintenance to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance
- Provide technical support to staff troubleshooting hardware software and network issues to maintain productivity
- Oversee security protocols to protect company data including firewalls antivirus software and regular system updates
- Assist with the installation configuration and maintenance of IT equipment including computers printers servers and other peripherals
- Monitor and maintain backups and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity
- Support the team by managing user accounts access permissions and software licensing
- Assist in the setup and support of design software used within the architecture industry (e.g. AutoCAD Revit) and troubleshoot any related issues
- Keep systems updated and maintain inventory of IT assets to ensure efficient management and replacement planning
- Train staff on basic IT functions and best practices including network security and data privacy
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 35 years of experience in IT support and network management ideally within the architecture or design industry
- Strong knowledge of network management troubleshooting and hardware/software installation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Windows OS and familiarity with design software support (AutoCAD Revit) is a plus
- Experience with IT security protocols and disaster recovery planning
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
- Strong communication skills to effectively support nontechnical staff and handle diverse IT tasks
