Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements, leverage industry insights, and work with cross-functional teams to shape and execute the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure the product vision meets both user needs and overall business objectives.
  • Monitor product performance through key metrics like user adoption, engagement, and operational impact to drive optimisation.
  • Analyze data to uncover opportunities for product enhancements that boost factory performance and align with business goals.
  • Evaluate new project proposals and track value realisation, communicating outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to ensure the team aligns with company policies and objectives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors of Engineering in one of the disciplines (Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Chemical or Software)
  • A minimum of 12+ years of experience, with a preference for at least 3 years in the manufacturing industry
  • Extensive experience in managing the full lifecycle of data product development, particularly within digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proven expertise in delivering products for Industrial Automation and Control systems..
  • Skilled in creating product storyboards, wireframes, refining backlogs, writing user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.
  • Strong collaborator across cross-functional teams, including technology, business, and design, to ensure seamless product development.

  6. Stakeholder Communication: Communicating product vision and updates to senior management, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and buy-in.

  7. Performance Metrics: Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product success and inform future development.

  8. Customer Feedback: Gathering and analyzing customer feedback to guide product enhancements and ensure customer satisfaction.

  9. Budget Management: Overseeing the product budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to achieve product goals.

  10. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in product development and market introduction, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
