Roles and responsibilities

• Take orders and serve food and beverages as requested by guests such as coffee, tea, smoothies/juices, sandwiches, muffins, pastries, or cookies etc.
• Maintain complete knowledge of food and beverages as per the menu and advise the guests and colleagues as necessary
• Ensure that the guest is presented with the correct order and that all food and beverages are prepared and served as per the standard operating procedures
• Contribute towards developing the bar menu and perfecting the recipes of signature drinks
• Collect money for orders served and process financial transactions according to standard cashiering procedures and ensure all bills are checked for accuracy prior to presentation
• Perform daily calibrations of equipment such as coffee machines and grinders prior to every shift.
• Ensures that the mis-en-place i.e., condiments, tray cloths, napkins etc. are ready for service as per the requirements of the individual outlet and expected business-level requirements prior to opening
• Undertake opening, closing & cleaning tasks as detailed on checklists and ensure their respective area is always kept hygienically clean and tidy
• Maintain, rotate, and replenish the stocks on a FIFO (first in first out) system and as per par levels. Store them according to Food Hygiene Standards

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• One year of experience in the restaurant sector: within a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or upscale bar setting.
• Fluent in English - additional languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications.

1. Waitstaff/Servers: Responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

2. Bartenders: Prepare and serve beverages, create cocktails, and manage the bar area.

3. Hosts/Hostesses: Greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and maintain the flow of service.

4. Food Runners: Deliver food from the kitchen to the table and assist servers as needed.

5. F&B Manager: Oversee the entire food and beverage operation, including staff management, menu development, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service: Providing attentive and friendly service to enhance the dining experience.

2. Order Management: Accurately taking and processing guest orders, ensuring timely delivery.

3. Menu Knowledge: Understanding the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to make recommendations to guests.

4. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, including tables, floors, and utensils.

5. Collaboration: Working closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and communication.

6. Payment Processing: Handling transactions and processing payments accurately.

7. Complaint Resolution: Addressing guest complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

8. Inventory Management: Assisting in monitoring stock levels and managing supplies.
