Monitor and research developments in domestic, regional and global aviation policies and regulations to assess their impact on the airline’s operations, market access and strategic objectives.
Utilize statistical software and tools to collect, organise, and analyse data related to air traffic, passenger and cargo demand, market shares, route performance and other relevant metrics to support Emirates’ market access requirements.
Provide senior management with a clear and concise interpretation of the research findings and complex analyses, both in writing and verbally, to enable informed decisions.
Develop meeting files, proposed aeropolitical requirements, advocacy submissions, presentations, reports and briefing notes for senior management’s use at intergovernmental meetings and stakeholder engagements.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as Planning and Commercial Operations, ahead of bilateral air services negotiations and stakeholder engagements to develop Emirates’ positions.
When required, participate in intergovernmental bilateral air services negotiations, assisting senior management with pursuing Emirates’ traffic rights goals and other aeropolitical interests.
Assist in developing and maintaining relationships on aeropolitical matters with aeronautical authorities, other regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders in the UAE and globally.
Participate in stakeholder meetings and industry/governmental for a related to aeropolitics, aviation policy and regulation.
Assist in government authorisations and schedule approvals for Emirates’ operations to new destinations or, when so required, for additional flights to existing points.
Provide guidance on any relevant aeropolitical issues to Emirates’ code share team and help obtain approvals for code share flights as required.
Support the ongoing development of the team’s Analysts to keep enhancing their statistical and analytical skills as well as understanding and knowledge in the field of aeropolitics and the aviation industry overall.
