Associate - Brand Visual Internal Comms

Responsibilities:

Strategic Contribution

• Develops EGA internal communications campaigns to achieve EGA’s internal communications strategy.

Team Management

• Provides guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conducts knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
• Promotes the organisation’s values and ethics in all activities within the team to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization.
• Develops effective, respectful relationships with area and functional colleagues, and colleagues in other functions including at senior levels.
• Develops effective relationships with counterparts at contractors and other organisations and indirectly manages them as required.
• Seeks opportunities for professional development to continually improve relevant competency.
• Acts as the Internal Communications subject matter expert within Corporate Affairs and provides required counsel to all related projects to support successful achievement of defined functional objectives.

Policies and procedures

• Implements department policies, procedures and controls covering own activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality, cost-effective work.
• Proposes improvements to department policies, procedures and controls that could improve internal communications effectiveness.
• Proposes improvements to EGA’s internal communications approach based on data and experience.

Budget

• Prepares and manages approved budget for specific projects as assigned, ensuring that costs do not exceed budget limitations and any possible savings are captured.

Internal Communications Management

Internal communications planning and execution

• Supports functional lead to develop an effective internal communications plan to achieve EGA’s internal communications strategy.
• Develops and plans creative internal communications campaigns to achieve desired objectives, working both with functional lead and with internal customers in other areas.
• Acts as the focal point for all parts of the business and continuously collaborates with these departments and partners to identify opportunities to enhance EGA’s internal communications.
• Manages the creation and maintenance of effective internal communications platforms to connect and engage staff, using initiatives which adhere to best practice and are on par with industry award-winning programs.
• Acts as a trusted source of information and news for staff and management to contribute to a vibrant organisational culture that supports informative two-way communication between management and staff.
• Manages the development and implementation of initiatives to engage employees and drive performance; uses multiple communications channels to diversify distribution of messages.
• Ensures the external circulation of all relevant and useful articles, pamphlets, brochures, and papers relating to EGA and industry practices with the aim to raise knowledge and awareness on new developments.
