Music Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Music Teacher to join our team. This role involves designing and delivering a diverse and dynamic music curriculum that caters to students of various ages and abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that nurtures students musical talents and encourages a deep appreciation for music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that covers music theory history performance and composition.
  
• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that meet the educational needs of students from FS/KG to Year 13/Grade 12.
  
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
  
• Use a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage students and enhance their musical skills.
  
• Regularly assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback and tailored support to help students achieve their full potential.
  
• Organize and lead school music events including concerts recitals and competitions.
  
• Coordinate and oversee extracurricular music activities such as school choirs bands and ensembles.
  
• Encourage student involvement in musicrelated extracurricular activities and performances.
  
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to integrate music into the broader school curriculum and activities.
  
• Participate in school meetings committees and professional development opportunities.
  
• Stay current with developments in music education and incorporate best practices into teaching.
  
• Maintain a wellorganized and resourceful music classroom.
  
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning environment.
  
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress achievements and opportunities for involvement in music programs.
  
• Build positive relationships with the school community and contribute to a collaborative school culture.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Music Education Music Performance Music Therapy or a related field. A Master s degree is preferred.
  
• Certification: Relevant teaching certification or credentials.
  
• Experience: Proven experience teaching music at various educational levels preferably in an international or diverse setting.
