Job Description
Hiring for a large cryptocurrency company in Abu Dhabi.
We are in search of a seasoned Head of Blockchain & Web 3.0 to spearhead our blockchain initiatives and drive the development of Web 3.0 solutions. The successful candidate will be an industry leader with extensive experience in blockchain technology a mature understanding of the decentralized web ecosystem and a trackrecord in leading and delivering cuttingedge projects in the cryptocurrency realm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive blockchain and Web 3.0 strategy to position the company at the forefront of decentralized innovations.
- Lead a team of blockchain developers architects and engineers fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Stay abreast of advancements in blockchain technology decentralized finance (DeFi) nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and other Web 3.0 applications ensuring our solutions remain leadingedge and competitive.
- Oversee the development and deployment of blockchain infrastructure smart contracts decentralized applications (DApps) and tokenization projects.
- Establish partnerships with other industry players academic institutions and technology providers to enhance our technological capabilities and market reach.
- Act as a thought leader representing the company at conferences panel discussions and within blockchain communities contributing to the broader discourse on blockchain and Web3.0 trends.
- Ensure that all technological practices adhere to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines placing a high priority on security and data privacy.
- Align blockchain and Web3.0 initiatives with enterprisewide objectives collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure cohesive growth and integration.
Requirements
- Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven expertise in blockchain technology with exceptional knowledge of the current cryptocurrency ecosystem.
- Strong grasp of various blockchain platforms smart contract development and dApp frameworks.
- At least 8 years of experience in a leadership role with direct management of tech teams and multidisciplinary projects.
- Demonstrated success in defining and executing a strategic technology vision.
- Robust network within the blockchain and Web3.0 communities.
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
Desirable Experience:
- Prior experience as a Head of Blockchain Chief Blockchain Officer or a similar leadership role in a Web3.0 development environment.
- Track record of successful product launches in decentralized platforms or services.
- Proficiency in various programming languages such as Solidity Rust Go or similar and comfort with development frameworks and API integration.
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, supplemented by business education (MBA - desirable). Significant leadership experience in a technology role within the cryptocurrency space or related fintech areas, with demonstrated success in scaling technology teams and infrastructure. In-depth understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency regulations, security protocols, and an overall appetite for technological innovation. Evidence of transformative leadership in managing software development, IT infrastructure, and security operations. Strong strategic thinking and business planning skills, with the ability to translate complex technological concepts into actionable business strategies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Desirable Experience: Experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or in another senior technology leadership role in a company known for its technological leadership and innovation. A proven track record of successfully launching new products, services, or improvements in the cryptocurrency or blockchain industry. Active engagement with the tech community as a thought leader or contributor to open-source projects.
