Our client has a lines team that is in need of 2 Jr. lines designers to join the transmission and distribution team in Calgary. The ideal candidate will be a new graduate from a civil or electrical program and will have ideally 1-2 years working experience. The best candidate will have used PLS-Cadd before in their past role or have been exposed to it in school. These line designers will be working on the AltaLink program and could spend some time embedded in the office.
Job Qualifications:
- 5+ years lines design experience or the associated schooling courses form university
- Engineering program (education)
- The successful candidate should possess a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of Five years' related experience, and a broad knowledge of electrical distribution systems.
- AutoCad
- Expertise in any Quickpole, SpidaCalc, PLS CAD is required.
- Lines calculations or cable schedules exp.
Assets for the role (but not required):
- PLS-Cadd
- PLS-Tower
- Lattice tower and pole exp.
