Job Description

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Director the main role of the Quality Coordinator is to manage, in collaboration with the Project Manager, the flow and correctness of technical documents related to the project.

Manage plans, specifications and addenda (keep dashboard updates, ensure distribution), shop drawings, technical questions and purchase orders;

Update the list of participants;
Manage the flow and transmission of site instructions, contractors questions and answers from the professionals or from the client;
Obtain "as-built" plans, instruction manuals and complete documents related to the project progression with daily pictures from the site;
Manage deficiency follow-up with trades;
Follow up on requests for final acceptance and release of projects;
Management of end of contract documents to be acquired (Warranties, maintenance sheets, "as built" plans in mechanical-electrical, spare materials, etc.).
Coordinate and follow-up, with the sub trades, any repairs under warranty;
Prepare contracts and track project documents;
Prepare post mortem documents for project managers;
Manage contract amendments (open files, get contractors prices, prepare and forward amendments to contractors, close files, etc.)
Prepare meeting minutes for site meetings


Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture;
  • P.Eng or EIT designation, preferred;
  • Experience in QA/QC is considered an asset;
  • Must have previous experience on project sites, 1-3 years preferred;
  • Office Suite and MS Project;
  • English, French bilingualism - (an asset);
  • Reading plans and specifications.
