- Assist Executive Chef to oversee all operational and administrative aspects of the bakery production as appropriate
- Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in planning menus, prices, and promotional events for the Banquet and all restaurants to maximize revenue-generating opportunities in line with market demands
- Lead and inspire a team of bakers to consistently produce delicious and visually appealing baked goods.
- Develop and refine recipes for bakery items, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Manage production schedules to meet demand while minimizing waste and maintaining freshness.
- Train and mentor bakery Colleagues on baking techniques, food safety standards, and best practices.
- Maintain inventory levels and order ingredients and supplies as needed to support production.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus, promotions, and special offerings.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Executive Pastry Chef.
Qualifications And Requirements
- With experience as Head Baker in a high-volume restaurant or catering company; experience working in a 5-star hotel is an advantage
- A culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
- International work experience in Asia, Europe, North America, and preferably the Middle East.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Creative flair and passion for innovation in baking.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
