Nursery Teacher

The Nursery Teacher is responsible for creating a safe nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. The role involves planning and implementing ageappropriate educational activities fostering social and emotional development and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.Key Responsibilities:Planning and Curriculum Implementation:Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of young children.Plan daily activities that promote physical social emotional and intellectual growth.Incorporate a variety of teaching methods including play storytelling arts and crafts and music.Classroom Management:Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment.Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.Child Development:Observe and assess each childs progress and development.Identify any developmental concerns and communicate these to parents and the nursery manager.Provide individualized instruction and support to meet the unique needs of each child.Parent Communication:Maintain open and regular communication with parents about their childs progress and any concerns.Conduct parentteacher conferences to discuss childrens development and progress.Provide parents with regular updates through newsletters emails or other communication channels.Collaboration and Professional Development:Work collaboratively with other nursery staff to plan and implement programs.Participate in staff meetings training sessions and professional development opportunities.Stay informed about the latest developments in early childhood education and incorporate new techniques and strategies as appropriate.Administrative Duties:Maintain accurate records of each childs progress and attendance.Prepare reports and documentation as required by the nursery manager or regulatory bodies.Ensure compliance with all nursery policies procedures and regulations.Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development or a related field.Experience: Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early childhood setting is preferred.Skills:Strong understanding of child development principles and practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.Patience creativity and a passion for working with young children.Attributes:High level of professionalism and integrity.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry young children as needed.Ability to sit on the floor bend stoop and engage in active play with children.Good physical stamina to keep up with the demands of caring for young children.Personal Attributes:Warm caring and nurturing personality.Enthusiastic and energetic approach to teaching.Strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
