- Curriculum Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans in alignment with the IGCSE and AS/A Level Chemistry curriculum.
- Stay updated on curriculum changes, educational trends, and advancements in the field of chemistry.
- Classroom Instruction:
- Deliver effective and engaging lectures, laboratory experiments, and demonstrations.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills among students.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Design fair and effective assessments, including examinations, quizzes, and practical experiments.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
- Keep accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians.
- Lab Management:
- Oversee and organize laboratory activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Demonstrate proper laboratory techniques and guide students in conducting experiments.
- Student Support:
- Offer additional assistance to students who require extra support in understanding complex concepts.
- Provide guidance on career paths related to chemistry and encourage participation in extracurricular activities.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay informed about advancements in chemistry education.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a positive academic environment.
- Parental and Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians regarding students' progress and any concerns.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
- Administrative Duties:
- Complete administrative tasks, such as grade submissions, attendance tracking, and other duties as assigned by the school.
