Contributing to identifying information technology tools during the process improvement phase in order to provide information technology recommendations to improve process performance
Developing the MRF maintenance request form for the systems and determining the scope of change and priorities related to improving procedures and regulations, while coordinating with the relevant organizational units in order to implement change requests.
Building and designing a model - compatible with the Business Process Improvement (BPI) approach - for the new process in order to determine the feasibility of the services or processes associated with it, and how it will lead to achieving internal and external customer satisfaction.
Conduct detailed assessments of Dubai Customs’ current operations, conduct gap analysis based on specific standards compatible with international bodies’ standards, and provide appropriate recommendations to return the process to the capacity mapping stage.
Liaise with business owners and subject matter experts in the business unit concerned, to derive business requirements at a sophisticated level, as well as issues and problem descriptions, by defining current and future state assessments by applying effective requirements elicitation techniques
Determine the optimal application of processes and systems by identifying alternative solutions and conducting the required analysis to choose the best option to ensure the effectiveness of each potential solution alternative to meet business needs in terms of economic, operational and technical feasibility.
Review all information developed through the feasibility study with business units to verify requirements and solutions and ensure that the study meets the requirements of business inputs and activities.
Contributing to improving the business development methodology at Dubai Customs by integrating effective standards, strategies and procedures into the annual strategic and operational plan of the Process Improvement Department and implementing the established plans.
Monitor systems performance based on process development objectives measured during the sustainability phase of the project life cycle, in order to measure recommended new services and processes
Collect and analyze data, including time and costs in their current state, and identify failures, defects, and delays in order to develop an analysis of the causes and provide the results of the analysis and feasible recommendations for improvement.
Maintain and share process knowledge by adopting methods, techniques, notes, standards and best practices derived from the business operations team
Ensure proper coordination between IT management and process owners by defining levels of detail in business process models and working to correct/improve IT systems based on improvement opportunities identified and approved
