Job Description

Procurement Officer ( India )

JOB DESCRIPTION

Procurement Officer in our company is responsible for efficiently sourcing purchasing and managing materials equipment and services necessary for project execution. This role involves strategic vendor management negotiation and ensuring adherence to company procurement policies to support the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of received materials including quantity quality serial numbers and other relevant details.
  • Identify evaluate and select suppliers contractors and service providers based on project requirements and company guidelines.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise during the procurement process.
  • Draft review and manage procurement contracts and agreements outlining terms conditions and performance metrics.
  • Monitor contract compliance
  • Stay informed about market trends industry developments and emerging technologies related to construction and contracting.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of received materials including quantity quality serial numbers and other relevant details.
  • Generate and update inventory reports ensuring realtime visibility into stock levels and discrepancies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer preferably in the construction or contracting industry.
  • Strong negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools.
  • Solid understanding of procurement principles sourcing strategies and vendor evaluation.
  • Attention to detail strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Analytical mindset for cost analysis supplier evaluation and data interpretation.
  • Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with contract management and legal aspects of procurement in construction.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to ethical procurement practices.
