Job Description
REAP is currently looking to hire a Home Automation Technician / Smart Home Electrician for one of its clients in Abu Dhabi. To qualify for this position you must have 2 years of experience in the same field. UAE Driving License is mandatory (please dont apply if you dont have driving license).
Roles & Responsibilities
- Electrical LV experience
- DB dressing
- cable pulling
- piping
Duties / Tasks
- Install and configure HDTV projector and theatre systems.
- Execute home automation projects in villas and offices including lighting dimming control AC & curtain controls and multiroom audiovideo systems.
- Perform system maintenance troubleshooting and software/network hardware support.
- Design prepare BOQ and proposals for home automation CCTV IP telephony structured cabling systems access control PABGM SMATV audio door phone and gate barrier systems.
- Create various drawings using AutoCAD including shop drawings schematic drawings wiring drawings layout drawings connection drawings installation drawings and termination drawings.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in home automation systems such as KNX 485 Bus and Z Wave Home Automation.
- Proficiency in RTI Crestron Control4 Sonos HDMI Matrix and other home automation systems.
- Knowledge in home theatre systems lighting audiovideo systems IT/networking and PCB level troubleshooting.
- Handson experience in installation and programming of home automation projects.
- Basic electrical knowledge and ability to use power tools.
- Ability to read construction plans and work at heights.
- Clean and valid drivers license.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items.

- Lighting control piping wiring fixing (KNX wiring & DB dressing).
- AC thermostat fixing and configuration.
- curtain motor fixing and control cables termination.
- Low voltage (Piping wiring DB dressing Light fixing socket fixing).
- Dali system wiring and connection.
- Perform diagnostic checks on system monitor automated system isolate problem and perform repairs.
- Piping cable pulling and fixing ELV Systems
- Piping cable pulling and fixing lighting control Systems
- Piping cable pulling and fixing Low Voltage Systems
- Fixing Decorative lighting
- Materials Delivery
- Site follow up
Requirements
- Have knowledge of all types of dimming system.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and data sheets.
- UAE Driving license.
- BMS system experience is considered.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ensure all work done always meets manufacturing requirements.
- Assist with automation equipment assembly setup / troubleshoot.
