Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Procurement/Purchasing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing negotiating and purchasing goods and services necessary for the successful execution of medical events. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement within the healthcare or events industry and possess excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that are innovative costeffective and align with the companys objectives.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers negotiate contracts and establish terms of agreements to ensure the best value for the organization.
  • Manage the procurement process from purchase order to delivery ensuring timely and accurate acquisition of goods and services.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases ensuring all documentation is current and compliant with company policies.
  • Monitor market trends competitor strategies and market suppliers.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand their needs and provide procurement solutions that support event requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to procurement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports and analyses to management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement preferably within the healthcare or events industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi.
