ROLE SUMMARY:
As a Civil Inspector you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects adhere to design specifications codes and standards. Your role will be crucial in maintaining quality control and ensuring the safety and durability of structures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Site Inspections: Conduct regular inspections at construction sites to ensure compliance with approved designs drawings and specifications.
2. Quality Assurance: Monitor construction activities to ensure materials and workmanship meet quality standards set by regulatory bodies and the consultancy.
3. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections deviations nonconformances and corrective actions taken during the construction process.
4. Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers engineers and contractors to address any issues or concerns identified during inspections.
5. Compliance: Ensure that construction activities comply with relevant building codes regulations and safety standards.
6. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve constructionrelated issues promptly to prevent delays or deviations from project timelines.
7. Reporting: Prepare comprehensive inspection reports summarizing findings observations and recommendations for corrective actions.
8. Communication: Effectively communicate with all stakeholders including clients contractors and internal teams to ensure clarity and transparency throughout the construction process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
2. Certification: Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent is preferred.
3. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering or construction inspection preferably in a consultancy environment.
4. Knowledge: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles construction techniques and building codes/regulations.
5. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify deviations or discrepancies in construction work.
6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
7. ProblemSolving: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions under pressure.
8. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster positive working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
