Job Description

We are excited to announce that a new role has come up for a Head of Memberships which will be instrumental in transitioning the Museum in one of the GCC countries. This new role is crucial in building and leading their Membership Department from the ground up. The Head of Memberships will report to the General Manager of Legal and Strategic Affairs and will be responsible for establishing and growing our membership program. Furthermore the Head of Memberships will develop a comprehensive strategy for their membership program lead its implementation and build a qualified team. This role requires an experienced candidate with a museum background and a proven track record in membership management.

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for establishing and growing the membership program aligning with the organizations mission vision and goals.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify target audiences industry trends and competitive landscape to inform membership program development.
  • Design the membership structure including membership tiers benefits pricing and eligibility criteria tailored to meet the needs and preferences of potential members.
  • Lead the implementation of the membership program including developing policies procedures and systems for membership acquisition onboarding engagement and retention.
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional campaigns to raise awareness of the membership program attract new members and drive membership growth.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including marketing communications and operations to integrate membership initiatives with overall organizational strategies and activities.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances with relevant organizations associations and stakeholders to enhance the value proposition of the membership program.
  • Develop and implement programs events and initiatives to engage members foster a sense of community and provide valueadded benefits and services.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the effectiveness and success of the membership program regularly evaluating performance and making datadriven adjustments as needed.
  • Develop and manage the budget for the membership program ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve program goals and objectives.


Requirements

To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration marketing communications or related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in program development membership management or related roles with a minimum of 6 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and implementing successful membership programs or initiatives from inception to execution.
  • Strong understanding of membership models best practices and trends in the membership industry.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive results within established timelines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to inform decisionmaking and program optimization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a crossfunctional team environment and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creative thinker with innovative ideas for member engagement retention and valueadded services.
  • Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion principles and practices in program development and implementation.
