Job Description

  • Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain and update accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and other financial transactions.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to identify areas of improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and potential risks. Provide recommendations based on analysis findings.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Auditing: Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation, reconciling accounts, and addressing audit inquiries.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and streamline accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
  • Financial Systems Management: Utilize accounting software and other financial systems to maintain records, generate reports, and facilitate financial transactions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

The successful candidate will have at least 8 years experience, with at least 4 years in as a general accountant (ideally in F&B/FMCG/Retail) and must possess superb attention to detail with the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively. You will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial concepts and ratios, and have extensive experience in Excel and other financial software.
