Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance to the Lab Safety Senior Specialist in implementation of environment, health,
safety programs within the University.
• Assist campus faculty and staff in compliance with institutional policies and programs for chemical,
biological, physical, radiation, laser fire, life, and/or environmental protection safety
• Provide comprehensive support to the research community, including support of radiation safety,
biosafety and Chemical Safety
• Carry out inspections, incident and accident investigation and provide specialized technical expertise,
as assigned.
• Assess the hazards associated with the use of biological and chemical agents in research and teaching
