We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced technical Vice President of Business Development to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, technical sales, and a deep understanding of 3D printing and additive manufacturing. Experience in the Space, Aerospace, or Automotive sectors will be a significant advantage. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, capable of driving business growth and fostering innovation in our engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the business development team, setting clear objectives and performance metrics.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the engineering industry, specifically in the fields of Space, Aerospace, and Automotive.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to enhance the company’s market position and achieve sustainable financial growth.
- Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to expand the company's client base.
- Leverage knowledge of 3D printing and additive manufacturing to drive innovative solutions and business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the executive team to align the business development strategy with the company’s vision and goals.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and contract negotiations.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify challenges and opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior business development role within the engineering industry.
- Proven experience in technical sales, with a strong understanding of 3D printing and additive manufacturing.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the Space, Aerospace, or Automotive sectors.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving business growth and innovation.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and company presentations.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other business-related software.
