This is an incredible opportunity to join a Top 15, market leading firm of chartered accountants based in Maidstone. You will be working in one of Kents best accountancy practices, and have a fantastic opportunity to progress in your career, and develop technically. This position will offer you incredible exposure across both accounts and audit work, where you will work with a range of corporate and nor for profit businesses in the South East. Our client offers one of the best client portfolios available in the Kent region from exciting owner managed businesses through to significantly sized listed groups.
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting with planning audit assignments, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them, assessing and reviewing the budgets through to completing an analytical review
- Supporting, or leading audits, supervising, delegating and reviewing work of trainees (dependent on experience)
- Preparing statutory accounts and corporate tax returns
- Delivering information to clients in a timely manner whilst displaying in-depth client and industry knowledge
- Identifying cross selling opportunities
- Monitoring stock takes, managing bank letter processes and completing AFF (Assignment Feedback Forms) where appropriate
- Communicating to management on the progress of workload and planning for efficient completion
Requirements
- Audit experience essential
- ACA/ACCA studying, or qualified by experience
- Accounts experience essential
- Strong interpersonal and client service skills are essential
