Job Summary:
We re an insurance technology startup looking for a highly motivated autonomous backend developer to be part of our team. As a core member of the team, you will play an important role in developing the infrastructure, implementing APIs, adding new features, optimizing performance and building a reliable system.
Responsibilities:
• Design and build server side logic and infrastructure
• API design and development
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
• Write tests for existing and created code to ensure compatibility and stability
• Manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Rapidly design, prototype and iterate to solve problems and fix bugs
Requirements:
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structure, algorithm distributed systems, and asynchronous or event-driven architectures
• 3+ years working with Python
• 3+ years working with Django
• Experience with Django REST framework is a plus
• Develop unit, integration, and load tests for RESTful APIs to ensure they will perform as expected
• Complete understanding of application development life
• Experience with GIT (branching, merging, etc.)
• Familiar with Celery or other task queues
• Experience coding and testing applications that use AWS services components such as EC2, RESTful API Gateway, Lambda, S3, EBS, RDS, SQS
