Job Description

This position is responsible in setting the standard to ensure the overall quality of the company product, the raw materials used, produce the product that meet or exceed customer expectations. This position is also requires monitoring and advising on the performance of the quality management system, produce data and report on performance, and measuring against set standards. Job Description: • Oversee all the Quality Control and Quality Assurance related activities across all the branches of Pacman- CCL. • Ensuring overall quality standards in terms of the product, its manufacture and procedures used to meet the standards. • Responsible for raw material approval for use. • Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers. • Perform and ensure testing of incoming, in process and finished product is carried out to maintain the standards set out. • To ensure that the product or service provided fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations. • Handling raw material related complaints, investigating and carrying out the rejection related activities of claiming and follow up until closure of the rejection claim. • Carrying out non-confirming product procedures. • Ensuring the Calibration of measuring and testing equipment. • Devising and establishing a company's quality procedures, standards and specifications. • Conduct internal ISO audit. • Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring that they are met. • Investigating for customer complaints on product quality related issues. • Assisting in the training the production staff on Quality activities. • Carrying out new raw material vendor development. • Assisting in new techniques and initiatives to increase productivity and reduce the wastage. • Setting standards for quality as well as health and safety; • Making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards. • Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff. • Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures. • Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required • Should have technical qualifications preferably related to printing/ packaging. • Should be able to perform standard quality assurance/quality control evaluation procedures. • Evaluation of data using statistical methods for analysis, interpreting results and making appropriate recommendations to management. • Should have the capability of developing and presenting a variety of training programs, procedures and preparing manuals to improve and maintain high standards. • Should have good analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex data and to resolve technical queries to the satisfaction of both internal and external partners. • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work within and contribute to cross functional teams both internally and externally. • Results driven and focused on going the extra mile to deliver • Strong organizational skill. • Basic computer skills (word, excel, power point etc) are a must.
