The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), Civil and Infrastructure Engineering Department invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in Environmental and Infrastructure Engineering, beginning Fall 2021. Candidates for this position must hold a PhD in Civil Engineering. The successful candidate is expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, including Infrastructure Planning, Municipal Infrastructure Design, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for Sustainable Infrastructure, Engineering Economics and Decision Making, Advanced Water and Wastewater Treatment, Solid and Hazardous Waste Management, Systems Analysis and Optimization in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Management, Environmental Engineering, Infrastructure Financing as well as Infrastructure Systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in civil engineering with a focus in infrastructure from an accredited institution of higher education
• Strong record of active engagement in research and scholarship, including recent publications.
• Relevant university teaching experience
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines
• Related practical industry experience
