Civil CAD/BIM Operator * **

• Diploma / Certificate in Civil Engineering from Technical Institute(s) or equivalent • At least 2 years of relevant experience in using computer tools for BIM modelling and / or drafting, e.g. AutoCad, Autodesk Civil 3D / Revit / Dynamo / Navisoworks / Bentley MicroStation / Rhino / Grasshopper or equivalent • BIM professional certificates / training courses from Technical Institute(s) / software companies are required for the position of BIM Coordinator • Good command in both written and spoken English Electrical BIM Operator * ** Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials. .

Draft plans, technical drawings, and blueprints. .

Ensure designs are completed to specifications and safety regulations. .

Study work order requests to determine type of service, such as lighting or power, demanded by installation. .

Measure factors that affect installation and arrangement of equipment, such as distances to be spanned by wire and cable. .

Prepare and interpret specifications, calculating weights, volumes, and stress factors. .

Review completed construction drawings and cost estimates for accuracy and conformity to standards and regulations. .

Write technical reports and draw charts that display statistics and data. .

Attend weekly coordination meetings and submit weekly updates to management. .

Manage 3D models for design coordination and submission for approval by management. .

Assist the project team with model visualizations. .

Manage and use BIM modeling software. .

Completes projects by training and guiding technicians. .

Examine needs on new equipment, calculate costs and help prepare budgets. .

Monitor maintenance and inspection plans. .

Self-motivation to keep up with current electrical advances using new technologies. Qualifications of the Electrical Engineer CAD/BIM Operator .

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or similar industry preferred. .

2 years minimum experience working in a construction, engineering or architect role or equivalent training, education and/or experience. .

2 + years BIM/CAD experience in the area of Mechanical Building Design & services .

Excellent interpersonal skills .

Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards, and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies. .

Excellent written and oral communication .

Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications .

Able to prioritize work demands to meet project schedules / deadlines in a busy working environment
