The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee announced that in-class education would resume in Abu Dhabi schools for all grades, beginning on February 14.

It stated that a preventive protocol unique to the schooling community had been approved, that is, for academic and administrative staff and students, which will be enforced to promote the same until the end of the school year.

However, it reiterated that e-learning remains an option until the end of the school year, too.

The announcement came as the Ministry of Education also announced that on Sunday, February 14, public school students' return to on-site classes would begin.

The step, carried out in coordination with the Emirates Foundation for School Education, follows the progress of the previously announced recovery action plan and students' safe return to schools.

The return of students to schools will be carried out in a gradual and phased manner until the end of the school year for all academic levels in public schools across the UAE, it said.

The Ministry has also previously announced that distance education options will remain available to ensure a smooth transition for students from remote to in-person classes again until the end of the current school year.
