In addition to a multiple-entry visitor visa for all nationalities, the UAE has approved a new remote work visa that will allow professionals from worldwide to live and work in the country for a year.
The new resolutions are part of a package of proposals approved by the cabinet on Sunday during a meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, to place the UAE as an ideal work and tourist destination.
"We accepted a new Remote Work Visa during a cabinet meeting I chaired that allows workers from all over the world to live and work remotely from the UAE, even though their businesses are headquartered in another country," Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.
"To boost the UAE's position as a global economic capital, we have accepted a multiple-entry tourist visa for all nationalities," he said.
Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed that the government would continue to build flexible programs and policies to place the UAE as one of the world's best governments in terms of providing services and providing the best quality of life for people and residents.
He mentioned, "We are working against specific goals to improve our global economic standing and provide the best possible quality of life for our people and residents. Our growth journey continues."
Remote Work Visa
The UAE cabinet approved a new Remote Work Visas system to enable workers from all over the world to work remotely from the UAE to attract skills and expertise from all over the world. The one-year visa requires visitors to access the UAE on their initiative and act following the visa's terms and conditions.The main move, which is the first of its kind in the country, aims to improve the UAE's tourism sector's competitiveness and help the national economy. It allows entrepreneurs and talents to innovate in a comfortable and appealing market atmosphere in the UAE, with access to all required resources such as world-class utilities and telecoms.
The new program seeks to help both the public and private sectors by improving work-life balance, increasing efficiency, and improving the market climate. Employees should also develop their technical capabilities to adapt to the new gig economy.
Multiple Entry Tourist Visa
All nationalities can now apply for a new Multiple Entry Tourist Visa, which seeks to make the process easier for tourists and guests. Tourists with a five-year visa will reach the country on self-sponsorship several times and stay for 90 days on each visit, which can be extended for another 90 days.Sheikh Mohammed declared on a world basis that "The United Arab Emirates has joined the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the New Development Bank, all of which were established by the BRICS countries. Our economic collaborations will continue to develop."
He reaffirmed that the UAE's transformation journey is already on, with improvements being made to refresh and strengthen government operations.
