I graduated from the Computer Engineering department at Istanbul Gelisim University. I am
currently pursuing a master's degree with a thesis in Computer Engineering at Sakarya
University of Applied Sciences. I have a strong interest in the fields of Data Science and Data
Engineering. My education, previous internship experiences, and participation in paid/unpaid
courses have played a significant role in developing my knowledge and skills in these areas.
During my internship at Netaş Telekomünikasyon A.Ş., I developed a calculator application
using ASP.NET MVC that allowed users to add and remove entries while storing the results in a
database. This experience helped me strengthen my technical skills and gain experience in
database integration through practical work with the ASP.NET MVC framework.
Thanks to the success I achieved in the Data for the Future project, conducted by TÜRKONFED,
the European Union Presidency, IKG PRO, and İŞKUR, I secured a three-week internship
opportunity at Teracity. During this period, I learned that big data holds strategic value and
cannot be managed through traditional methods. I understood how Apache Spark provides
speed and scalability in data processing, and I learned about using Spark Streaming for realtime data processing and data manipulation techniques. Finally, I gained the ability to develop
machine learning models on large datasets using Spark ML libraries.
Additionally, I am learning about NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB, Cassandra, and Elasticsearch, through the Data Engineering Path at Miuul. I am also exploring tools for data flow orchestration and automation, including Airflow, Jenkins, Logstash, and NiFi, and learning how to package application code into images and run them as containers using Docker and Kubernetes.
Within the scope of the Future with Data project carried out by TÜRKONFED, Directorate for European Union
Affairs, IKG PRO and İŞKUR, I was among the top 20 among 100 trainees in the exam held at the end of the training
and won a three-week internship at Teracity. During this period;
I learned that big data cannot be managed with traditional methods.
I learned that Apache Spark provides speed and scalability in data processing.
I learned how to process real-time data and data manipulation techniques with Spark Streaming.
I gained the ability to develop models on big data with Spark's machine learning libraries.
A calculator application that can both add and remove new users and keep the results in the database was created
using ASP.NET MVC. During this internship;
