A rebar engineer is a construction professional who works on projects that involve concrete earthwork piling and rebar.Their responsibilities include:
- Designing reinforcement structures:Rebar engineers use structural engineering software to analyze and calculate the forces loads and stresses on reinforced concrete elements.They ensure that the reinforcement design can withstand anticipated loads.
- Determining quantities sizes shapes and locations of reinforcing rods:Rebar engineers determine the quantities sizes shapes and locations of reinforcing rods.
- Supervising rebar installation and dismantling:Rebar engineers supervise the installation and dismantling of forms and concreting works.
- Conducting site inspections:Rebar engineers conduct regular site inspections.
- Ensuring materials comply with approved cutting lists:Rebar engineers ensure that materials comply with approved cutting lists.
- Ensuring work meets specifications:Rebar engineers ensure that work meets specifications.
Rebar engineers should have a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or a related field.They should also be computer literate and familiar with Windows operating systems and be able to use Excel spreadsheets effectively.
Requirements

- Available locally in Dubai
- 35 years Gulf experience preferable
