Job Description

Organisation Design Consultant (Embedded HR Transformation Role)

Overview
The client requires an experienced Organisation Design (OD) Consultant to work within its People & Culture function supporting organisation design workforce optimisation and HR transformation initiatives. The role will provide strategic and operational OD expertise to align organisational structures workforce capabilities and governance with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support organisation design and restructuring programmes including governance and reporting structures.
  • Develop job architecture frameworks job families career pathways and role levelling models.
  • Conduct job evaluations role rationalisation and workforce structuring activities.
  • Analyse roles and develop standardised job descriptions aligned to business needs.
  • Design and implement competency frameworks linked to performance and career development.
  • Support workforce planning organisational effectiveness span of control reviews and cost optimisation initiatives.
  • Conduct organisational mapping and alignment exercises between current and future-state structures.
  • Provide OD advisory services facilitate workshops and support implementation of transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR business leaders and key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of OD programmes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Human Resources Business Organisational Psychology or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications preferred.
  • 812 years experience in Organisation Design Organisation Development Workforce Planning or HR Transformation.
  • Proven expertise in job architecture competency frameworks and organisational restructuring.
  • Experience in industrial engineering manufacturing maritime or similarly complex sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with recognised job evaluation and HR systems/frameworks is desirable.

Core Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of organisation design methodologies and workforce modelling.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into practical organisational solutions.
  • Excellent analytical stakeholder management communication and change management skills.
  • Understanding of people analytics digital HR practices and organisational effectiveness.
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Languages

  • English required; additional language capability advantageous.

Deployment

  • Full-time on-site role embedded within the client organisation working closely with HR and business stakeholders.
