Job Vacancy: Expert – Information Security

1. Expert – Information Security. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, executing, and developing the information security management function across the enterprise, ensuring full compliance with the UAE Information Assurance Standards and Abu Dhabi Government regulations.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Policy & Framework Management: Develop and manage the implementation of enterprise-wide information security policies, plans, and procedures in line with government guidelines, driving continuous upgrades based on tech trends.
• Compliance & Evaluation: Evaluate existing systems, monitor policy compliance, and take corrective actions directed by the Information Security Committee to protect EAD's information assets.
• Risk & Threat Management: Respond to internet-wide and local cyber security threats, coordinating risk assessments and mitigation strategies with EAD’s Risk Manager.
• Business Continuity: Prepare service continuity policies and monitor the implementation of disaster recovery plans to safeguard organizational data during emergencies.
• Awareness & Training: Deliver robust information security awareness programs and training sessions across all sectors to ensure full organizational compliance.
• Governance: Ensure that all EAD external vendor and partner contracts incorporate relevant clauses regarding information security protocols.

3. Administrative & Organizational Scope

• Strategic Planning: Formulate long and short-term strategies, annual operational plans, and KPIs aligned with EAD's strategic goals.
• Financial Oversight: Manage the section's budget, monitor expenditure, and identify financial optimization opportunities.
• People & Emiratisation: Identify training needs, provide constructive feedback, and proactively contribute to the recruitment, development, and retention of UAE Nationals.
• Health & Safety (OHS): Ensure strict adherence to Occupational Health and Safety guidelines, promoting a proactive OHS culture within the section.

4. Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, IT Management, or any related technical specialization.
• Experience (UAE Nationals): 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in information security, including at least 4 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
• Regulatory Compliance: All appointments, qualifications, and experience parameters (for both Nationals and Expats) strictly refer to the Executive Regulation of the Human Resources Law for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

• Periodic Performance Reports: Timeliness and accuracy of technical and compliance reports provided to stakeholders.
• Process Efficiency: Number of information security processes successfully optimized, enhanced, or digitized.
• Issue Resolution: Response time and efficiency in resolving open security issues and mitigating system vulnerabilities.
• Operational Efficiency: Percentage of defect-free tasks and successful project deliveries within the approved budget.
