Job Description

We are seeking a Health Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to support project HSE activities across major infrastructure and rail projects.

The role focuses on promoting a strong safety culture ensuring compliance with local regulations and project safety standards and supporting the implementation of health safety and environmental procedures on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the HSE Manager in implementing project safety policies and procedures

• Conduct site inspections audits and safety assessments

• Assist in risk assessments method statements and permit-to-work systems

• Monitor compliance with HSE standards procedures and regulations

• Participate in incident investigations and reporting

• Deliver toolbox talks safety briefings and HSE training sessions

• Monitor hazardous materials management and employee exposure risks

• Support continuous improvement initiatives in HSE practices

• Promote a strong safety culture across employees and subcontractors

• Participate in emergency response and act as contact point when required

Qualifications :

• UAE National (mandatory)

• Minimum 12 years of HSE experience preferably in construction or infrastructure projects

• Knowledge of incident investigation techniques and safety reporting

• Familiarity with OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 standards

• NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent qualification

• Minimum IELTS 5.5

• Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations in the UAE

• UAE driving license preferred
