About the Role We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting compliance budgeting and strategic financial planning. The role involves ensuring accuracy of financial records supporting investment and business decisions with financial insights and maintaining full compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements. Ensure accuracy of general ledger reconciliations and financial records. Maintain compliance with IFRS and applicable accounting standards. Oversee accounts payable receivable and cash flow management. Compliance & Audit Ensure compliance with statutory regulations tax laws and reporting requirements. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process. Prepare tax filings VAT submissions and regulatory reports. Maintain proper documentation for financial controls and governance. Budgeting & Financial Planning Lead budgeting forecasting and variance analysis processes. Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and investment decisions. Monitor financial performance and identify risks or improvement areas. Business & Investment Support Evaluate financial feasibility of new projects and investment opportunities. Support management with financial modelling and scenario analysis. Assist in structuring transactions funding arrangements and cost optimization initiatives. Process Improvement & Controls Strengthen internal financial controls and accounting procedures. Implement system improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy. Ensure confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
Qualifications & Experience Chartered Accountant qualification (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent). 58 years of experience in accounting finance or audit roles. Experience in investment firms financial services or corporate finance environments preferred. Strong knowledge of IFRS taxation and financial regulations.
Key Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and financial modelling skills High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent knowledge of accounting standards and compliance frameworks Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and handle confidential data
