Job Description: Arabic A Teacher - Cycle 1 (American Curriculum)
1. Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Arabic Language Arabic Literature Education with a specialization in Arabic or a closely related field from a recognized university.
A Masters degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
Possession of a valid and recognized teaching certification/license from a US state or an equivalent international teaching qualification recognized in the UAE.
Native or near-native fluency in Arabic (both written and spoken) is essential.
Demonstrated proficiency in English (written and spoken) for effective communication within an international school environment.
2. Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time post-qualification teaching experience in Arabic Language (Arabic A) to Cycle 1 students (KG1 - Grade 5).
Proven experience teaching within an American curriculum framework is highly advantageous.
Prior experience in an international school setting particularly within the UAE or Gulf region is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire young learners in a culturally diverse classroom environment.
3. Skills Required:
Pedagogical Expertise:
Strong understanding and application of effective teaching methodologies tailored for Cycle 1 Arabic A learners.
Ability to differentiate instruction to cater to varying student abilities and learning styles.

Interpersonal & Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.

4. Curriculum Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge and practical experience teaching Arabic A following American Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English Language Arts adapted for Arabic language instruction or other recognized US national/state standards.
Familiarity with US curriculum frameworks assessment practices and pedagogical approaches suitable for Cycle 1.
Ability to align lesson planning instruction and assessment with US curriculum objectives and expected learning outcomes for Arabic A.
5. UAE-Specific Requirements:
Full compliance with all regulations policies and guidelines stipulated by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).
Eligibility to obtain or possession of an ADEK Professional Educator License.
Successful completion of all mandatory ADEK and UAE security and background checks.
Understanding and appreciation of UAE culture heritage and educational directives.
Willingness to participate in school-based and ADEK-mandated professional development programs.
Lead and manage the Secondary School section in alignment with the schools vision mission and strategic objectives Ensure high standards of teaching learning assessment and student achievement across the secondary phase Provide academic leadership for the British Curriculum including GCSE programs and examination preparation Monitor curriculum implementation lesson quality and student progress to ensure outstanding educational outcomes
