Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist to join a prestigious medical facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system providing expert care to patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with digestive system disorders
- Conduct specialized diagnostic tests including endoscopic procedures liver biopsies and esophageal motility studies
- Diagnose and manage conditions such as GERD IBS Crohns disease and liver diseases
- Provide consultation and referral services for inpatient cases requiring gastroenterology expertise
- Offer emergency coverage for gastrointestinal emergencies outside working hours
- Supervise and educate endoscopy staff nurses and technicians
- Participate in quality assurance activities including peer reviews audits and mortality conferences
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and waste management procedures
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in gastroenterology practice
- Expertise in endoscopic procedures liver biopsies and GI disease management
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Must be Western-trained
