Job Title: Commercial; Cards Business Analyst

Term: 12 months

Location: Abu Dhabi UAE

Division: Payments

Reports to: Head of Sales- Cards

Relevant experience:

  • 5years in a similar role ideally within the Financial Services Industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ability to translate business problems into data & analytics solutions

Mandatory requirements:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in Financial Industry previous consulting experience and understanding of digital data (app/web development) will be an advantage
  • Proficient in business tools (Excel PowerPoint Visio)

Purpose of Job:

The Commercial Card Business Analyst drives dataled decision making by translating complex commercial card data into actionable business insights aligned with strategic objectives. The role partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to define analytics use cases deliver highquality insights and support product customer and performance optimization initiatives. The analyst applies strong problemsolving communication and project management skills while ensuring robust data governance accuracy and stakeholder satisfaction in a fastpaced digital-first environment.

Tasks:

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Non-technical

  1. Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand the bigger picture and align day-to-day activities with company strategy.
  2. Customer Focus: Ability to understand and meet the needs of customers. This involves listening to customers understanding their needs and making decisions based on this understanding.
  3. Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate insights and ideas to stakeholders and team members.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify analyze and solve complex business problems.
  5. Critical Thinking: Ability to objectively analyze and evaluate issues and situations to form a judgement.
  6. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with others to achieve a common goal.
  7. Project Management: Ability to plan organize and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives

Technical

  1. Data use case: Develop and define data use cases which align to the strategic director set by the Business stakeholders
  2. Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies. This includes statistical analysis predictive modeling and data visualization.
  3. Business Intelligence Tools: Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Tableau Power BI or Looker. These tools help in creating reports and dashboards to present data insights.
  4. Database Querying: Knowledge of SQL or other database querying languages. This is essential for extracting and manipulating data from databases.
  5. Data Governance: Understanding of data governance principles and best practices. This includes data privacy data quality and data management.
  6. Proficiency in Business Tools: Proficiency in business tools like Excel for data manipulation and analysis PowerPoint for presentation of insights and Visio for process mapping.

  • Insight Implementation: The number of insights provided by the Business Analyst that are implemented.
  • Data Quality: The accuracy and completeness of the data used in analysis.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Feedback from various departments and stakeholders on the effectiveness and usefulness of the insights provided.
  • Project Delivery: The number of analytics use cases delivered on time and within budget.
  • Process Improvement: The impact of the data governance framework and SOPs on improving business processes. This can be measured by the reduction in data errors increase in data availability and improvement in decision-making speed.
