Job Title: Steel Fixer

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers for a leading Glass company based in Al Ain UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting bending assembling and installing steel bars and mesh used to reinforce concrete on construction sites. A good understanding of structural drawings and strong practical skills in rebar work are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering and structural drawings for rebar layout.
  

• Cut bend and shape steel bars and mesh using hand and power tools.
  

• Tie rebar securely using wire clips or welding equipment.
  

• Assemble prefabricated steel reinforcement as per site requirements.
  

• Install reinforcement bars in concrete forms before pouring.
  

• Follow instructions from foremen or supervisors to ensure accuracy.
  

• Inspect and verify placement and alignment of rebar to meet technical specs.
  

• Comply with safety regulations when handling sharp tools and heavy materials.
  

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment on the construction site.
  

• Report issues or material shortages to the supervisor.
  

Requirements

• 12 years of experience as a Steel Fixer (Gulf experience preferred).
  

• Familiarity with rebar cutting bending tying and installation techniques.
  

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS).
  

• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in various site conditions.
  

• Basic communication skills in English Hindi or Urdu preferred.
  

• Willingness to work long hours including overtime weekends or in outdoor conditions.
  

• Knowledge of health and safety protocols related to steel fixing and construction work.
