Technician HSM Mechanical Day

General Summary
Perform the maintenance activities of HSM in order to achieve the assigned targets such as minimize plant down time and increase the mill availability & consumption of spares with cost consciousness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement Production Optimization:
To execute all scheduled (day-to-day preventive) maintenance corrective maintenance and major repairs of the equipments in order to optimize production & minimize plant down time for maintenance related development works
Facilitate Corrective Action:
Responsible for trouble shooting during breakdowns of mechanical equipments and provide the assistance to find out the root cause for corrective action maintenance related development works
Prevent System Abnormalities:
Responsible for attending mechanical maintenance problems during breakdowns in the Heavy Section Mill. To communicate to superiors of any abnormalities found in the mill in order to plan & rectify the same.
Meet Engineering/ Safety Principles:
Inspection of equipments to meet engineering principles and safety regulations in maintenance related development works.
Assistance & Support:

To assist and help the Superiors in Mechanical Maintenance (Heavy Section) in all technical areas to ensure smooth maintenance of the Rolling Mills with uninterrupted production and co-ordination with other departments.
Following Standards:
Follow mechanical maintenance standards for all equipment in the Heavy Section Mill to ensure machine safety and to void accidents and hazards.
Adhere to ES LSR and follow proper work instructions and the relevant control measures aware of PTW system isolation mobilization JSA
Observe Health Safety and Environmental practices:
To follow all relevant safety quality health and environmental management policies procedures applicable to maintenance related development and isolation system and to support the supervisor and senior technicians for 5S principles and all related topic and alike for the current time and for future adaption of the management

Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves)
Diploma in Mechanical Fitter trade

Any preferred professional training (Nice to have)
Technical knowledge of predictive & preventive maintenance of Rolling mill
Knowledge & Skill of Trouble Shooting of Rolling Mill.
Understanding of engineering drawings and Hydraulic circuits

Professional Experience (Must haves)
3-5 years experience in Mechanical maintenance of Steel Plant

Previous Experience/exposure Recommendations (Nice to have)
Knowledge of pendant operated crane operation
