We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Mechanic specializing in the procurement and testing of passenger car auto parts. This role requires a strong mechanical background combined with the ability to evaluate, source, and validate components to ensure they meet industry standards and vehicle performance requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying suitable suppliers, reviewing technical specifications, and negotiating with vendors to obtain high-quality parts at competitive prices.
In addition to procurement duties, the Technical Mechanic will conduct thorough inspections and functional tests on incoming auto parts, using diagnostic tools, measurement instruments, and established testing procedures. The mechanic will document findings, compare results against manufacturer specifications, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve any discrepancies.
This position also involves maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing detailed technical reports, and recommending improvements to procurement and testing processes. A strong understanding of automotive systems—such as suspension, braking, engine, and electrical components—is essential. The candidate must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. This role contributes directly to vehicle safety, reliability, and product development efficiency.
