Job Overview
The NOC Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Network Operations Center (NOC) activities related to the metro rail project. This role involves monitoring and managing the D&B contractors network operations during the design review and construction stages to ensure system availability and performance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Monitor network operations to ensure system availability and performance.
Oversee and coordinate network activities of D&B contractors.
Review and approve networkrelated designs and plans submitted by contractors.
Conduct regular assessments of network performance and provide feedback.
Ensure compliance with network security and operational standards.
Coordinate with IT teams to resolve network issues and outages.
Maintain documentation of network configurations changes and incidents.
Provide technical support and training to project teams and contractors.
Develop and implement network operation procedures and best practices.
Prepare and present network performance and incident reports to stakeholders.
Manage network incident response and resolution processes.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
Oversee network upgrades and maintenance activities conducted by contractors.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Experience in network operations and management.
Certifications such as CCNA CCNP or equivalent are preferred.
Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum of 57 years of experience in network operations.
Strong understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting tools.
Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g. SolarWinds Nagios).
Preferred Skills:
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to work in a fastpaced 24/7 environment.
Experience in managing network operations for large infrastructure projects.
