Zahr Freighters a leading name in logistics and transportation is looking for a diligent and detailoriented Purchasing Officer to join our Dubai office. This role is essential in ensuring the timely and costeffective procurement of goods and services to support our operations. If you excel in vendor management and have a knack for negotiating the best deals we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Planning: Identify procurement needs and develop strategies to source quality materials and services.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to quality standards.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts terms and pricing to secure favorable agreements.
- Order Processing: Place purchase orders track deliveries and ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with the warehouse team to maintain optimal inventory levels and address supply shortages.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify trends and explore new sourcing opportunities.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases supplier evaluations and cost analyses for management review.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any procurementrelated issues including delayed shipments or quality concerns.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing preferably in logistics or supply chain industries.
- Education: A bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
- Analytical thinking with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attributes:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
