Job Summary
Here is an opportunity to join a global leader in business education.
We are looking for a dynamic academic preferably a Doctorate. Prior experience in academic research (highly desired) to join our team in Dubai as Academic Manager. This position will report to Area Head Marketing and Dean of programs.
Academic
- Assist assigned faculty in research and preparatory work for all activities related to academic programs training programs seminars workshops etc.
- Coordinate with faculty and Registrar office and assist in effective course design that is in alignment with the requirements of the Institute and as per the current academic practice.
- Assist the faculty in course delivery by actively participating in conducting tutorials prereading for the students preparing quiz and case analysis. Assist concerned faculty for course related information such as text book cases course material quiz individual and group assignments and end term examination.
- Liaise with faculty before and during the course to ensure smooth delivery of course and resolve any concern / issues raised by faculty.
- Coordinate with the faculty and assist in student evaluations such as class participation assignments end term examination evaluations.
Student Projects
- To work closely with the faculty and corporate mentor in defining scope and research methodology for the assigned projects.
- To actively guide and mentor student groups to ensure expected quality and academic rigor in industry projects. To conduct periodic review and ensure followup action by the student groups.
- Assist faculty in periodic and final assessment of the student projects.
Internal Research
- Prepare an outline for research project in consultation with the Dean / Area Head / Faculty and work on research projects under the guidance of the faculty.
- Responsible for Knowledge Management initiative for the Department / Area working in collaboration with faculty and visiting faculty.
Required Skills
1 Demonstrated expertise in designated academic area.
2 Passion for pursuing a successful international teaching career.
3 Good communication interpersonal and problem solving skills orientation towards mentoring
4 Attention to details ability to organize and prioritize multiple activities.
