The Commis I Bakery is responsible for assisting in the preparation production and presentation of highquality baked goods desserts and pastries. Working under the guidance of the Pastry Chef or Sous Chef the Commis I ensures adherence to established standards and practices contributing to the overall success of the bakery and culinary operations.
- Prepare a variety of baked goods such as breads pastries cakes and desserts according to prescribed recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure accurate portioning and proper use of ingredients.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene cleanliness and food safety throughout the baking process.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality taste and presentation requirements.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the bakery workstation.
- Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and kitchen team to meet daily production schedules.
- Monitor inventory and assist in stocking ingredients ensuring minimal waste.
- Follow all kitchen policies procedures and safety guidelines.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in bakery operations preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
- Strong understanding of baking techniques ingredients and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Team player with good communication skills.
