We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in fitout projects to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing cost estimations budget control and financial reporting for interior fitout projects ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for fitout projects including materials labor and overheads.
- Develop and maintain project budgets ensuring alignment with client requirements and project scope.
- Tendering and Procurement:
- Prepare tender documentation and manage the tendering process.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids and make recommendations for award.
- Contract Administration:
- Draft review and negotiate contracts with clients subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor contract performance and manage variations and claims.
- Cost Control and Financial Reporting:
- Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports and forecasts.
- Track and manage changes to the project scope ensuring cost adjustments are reflected accurately.
- Site Management and Coordination:
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure adherence to project specifications and budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers architects and engineers to resolve any costrelated issues.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and manage risks related to cost and financial performance.
- Implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and avoid cost overruns.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with clients ensuring that their requirements are met and expectations are managed.
- Provide expert advice and support to clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Management or a related field.
- Professional accreditation (e.g. MRICS RICS) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying with a focus on fitout projects.
- Proven experience in cost estimation budgeting and contract management.
- Strong knowledge of Dubais construction and fitout industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical numerical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
