Responsibilities
As a Permanent Landlord-Tenant Associate, you will be responsible for
- Managing a caseload of landlord-tenant matters from inception through resolution.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease agreements, eviction notices, and other related documents.
- Representing landlords and tenants in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Conducting legal research and drafting briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
- Providing legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under landlord-tenant laws and regulations.
- Working collaboratively with other members of our legal team on complex litigation matters.
- Staying abreast of current trends, rulings, and changes in landlord-tenant law.
- Participating in business development activities to attract new clients and maintain existing ones.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Landlord-Tenant Associate position will have the following qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state.
- A minimum of 1 years of experience in landlord-tenant law, with a strong emphasis on litigation.
- Proven track record of representing clients in court and achieving favorable outcomes.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
- High level of integrity and professional responsibility.
- Commitment to continuing legal education and professional development.
