- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
- Inspect machined parts and tooling in order to maintain quality control standards
- Inspects, tests, and adjusts new and reworked tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures, for conformance to specifications, for example, dimensions, tolerances, and hardness
- Work for machinery, equipment, motor vehicle, automotive parts, aircraft, and other metal products manufacturing companies and for machine shops
- Verify dimensions of machined parts or tooling using micrometers, verniers, callipers, height gauges, optical comparators, co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM) or other specialized measuring instruments
- Applying knowledge of tool and die design, shop mathematics, and machining and testing procedures, using precision measuring instruments, testing equipment, and handtools
- Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor and complete and maintain inspection reports
- Examines defective parts to determine cause of defect and recommends changes or modifications
- Work in wood manufacturing and food processing plants, as well as in refineries
- They fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools and verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- Writes report regarding inspection and testing results

- 3 5 years proven working experience in related field
- Must have a strong attention to detail
- Able to communicate complicated technical ideas with precision and clarity
- Need to have good physical mobility
- Able to lift heavy objects and handle production pressures calmly
